Morrisons Supermarkets plc deploys market-leading EAS solutions

Harmondsworth, United Kingdom – 7th November, 2006 - TAG Company Ltd, the leading provider of full Electronic Article Surveillance solutions to retailers, and Morrisons Supermarkets plc, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, announced an agreement to implement a retail tagging solution within Morrisons’ retail estate.  The agreement was reached following successful trials by TAG, which demonstrated the value of EAS in countering shoplifting and its positive impact on retail operations, sales and marketing.  The solution includes alarming exit gates, POS detachers and deactivators as well as hundreds of thousands of hard tags and soft labels.
