Advanced EAS Retail Security Solutions

Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) or Retail Tagging is an anti-theft system that protects merchandise from illicit removal from a retail establishment. The EAS process begins by attaching tags or labels to merchandise. This may be done in store, at a Distribution Centre, or at the point of Manufacture (Source Tagging).  When an item is purchased, the tag is removed or the label deactivated. If merchandise with an active label or hard tag is carried past the detection system, the system alarm sounds.

EAS is a proven technology, installed by most of the world’s leading retailers to help prevent shoplifting and ensure that product is available on shelf to increase sales.

There are 2 dominant EAS technologies deployed throughout the world: AM (Acousto Magnetic), and RF (Radio Frequency).  TAG specialises in the installation and maintenance of EAS Hardware, and helps retailers to create tailored product protection strategies for high risk product categories within a store, such as alcohol, CDs and DVDs, cosmetics and razorblades.

TAG's product range has been developed to meet the needs of modern, forward thinking retailers who wish to maximise sales through open merchandising and create a customer friendly environment whilst protecting against theft.
